Generosity Changes People

What to Expect

Statistics prove, large groups of people are tired of religion and are leaving the established church. People are unfulfilled with "church" and sincerely desire to know God. Legacy is also on this journey and in trying to know God deeper, we attempt to remain "religion free". If we do have religion, may it be what is written in the book of James 1:27, "pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is to visit fatherless children and widowed women in their time of trouble, and to keep one's own self unstained from the world."

We engage God in a passionate, energetic and relevant manner, and he in turn engages with us. It is exciting, refreshing and fun! Although we love the arts in our worship, we strive to teach the scriptures in hopes that this will instigate and maintain the passion, energy and relevance in our everyday lives. In this way, people from all walks of life have experienced the all-embracing love of the Father and have had their lives changed. We are no longer living a life of mere existence and survival. We are LIVING! Living free and fulfilled. There is so much God desires to show us.

Visit us, and let's explore this amazing God, together!

Statement of Beliefs

We Believe

  • In the Scriptures as fully inspired by God, and accept them as the full and final authority for faith and life. (2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:16-17). We also pursue and desire to perceive and receive the proceeding word of God. (Mathew 4:4)
  • In one God eternally existing as- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:14, Matthew 3:16-17)
  • That the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man. (1 Timothy 3:16), (Phil 2:9-10)
  • That God created man in His image; that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of death, physical and spiritual, and that all human beings inherit a sinful nature which issues in actual transgression involving personal guilt unless redemption is found via Jesus Christ. (Rom 3:23, Rom 6:3-4)
  • That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, a substitution sacrifice, according to the Scriptures, and that all who believe and trust in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. (Eph 2:8-9, Rom 6:3-4)
  • In the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven, and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate. (Hebrews 7:23-24)
  • In the priesthood of all believers in Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:9)
  • That the ascended Christ has given various ministries or ministers to the Church in order to bring all believers to the place of spiritual maturity in the understanding of truth, and the performance and function of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11; Romans 12:4-8 and 1 Corinthians 12:10).
  • That God never removed the gifts of the Holy Spirit from the Church, and the Scriptures command us to "seek earnestly the best gifts", and to "forbid not to speak in tongues", are still applicable today (1 Corinthians 12, 13 & 14:1-39).
  • That the miracles as recorded in the Bible were real miracles, and are possible in the present day (Mark 16:16-18; John 14:12 and 1 Corinthians 12:10).
  • That all believers are called to fulfil the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
  • We believe the family is the fundamental basis for society and for the church and that marriage is between one man and one woman. (Gen 2:21-24, Eph 5:21-33, Heb 13:4).
  • In the personality of the Holy Spirit, His regenerating work, and abiding presence in the true believer. That the Holy Spirit indwells all true believers and that He has been sent to be the Comforter and Empowerer of the Christian Church, to produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to the Scriptures. (Act 1:8, John 14:16-26)
  • That all Christians are called to a life of holiness, devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and service to Him. (1 Peter 1:15-16)
  • In the resurrection both of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal banishment from God of those who have rejected the offer of salvation.
  • That the whole company of those who have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savoir have been redeemed by Him and regenerated by the Holy Spirit and form the one true Church as children of God, and that each local church on earth should take its character from this concept. (1 Cor. 15:1-4, Romans 15:15-16)
  • We believe in the following practices based on the authority of the Holy Scriptures:

1. Presenting Children unto the Lord (Matt 19:13-14)

2. Baptism by immersion (Acts 8:36-38, Matt. 3:16)

3. Washing of feet (John 13:6-17)

4. Communion as a lifestyle as well as traditionally served in corporate gatherings. (1 Corinthians 11:20-25 and Luke 22:19)

  • We believe in the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ in a visible and corporal form, in the resurrection of the dead, the establishment of his kingdom, in the final judgment for all men and in the new Heaven and Earth, where we will live eternally with God (1 Thes 4:13-17, Acts 1:11, Rev 21:1-4)
  • We recognize human government as the institution placed by God, to keep order, peace, security and we recognize the patriotic symbols of the same. (Rom 13:1-6, 1 Peter 2:13-14)
